Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Shred Security's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please contact us.

2. Services

Shred Security provides smart contract security audit services, including security assessments, code reviews, penetration testing, and security consulting for blockchain protocols.

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Grant necessary access to code and systems
  • Respond promptly to security findings
  • Pay fees as agreed in engagement letters
  • Maintain confidentiality of our methodologies

4. Our Responsibilities

We commit to:

  • Perform thorough security assessments
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive reports
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Provide professional recommendations
  • Adhere to industry best practices

5. Limitation of Liability

Our security audits are designed to identify vulnerabilities, but:

  • We cannot guarantee absolute security
  • We are not liable for damages from undiscovered vulnerabilities
  • Our liability is limited to the audit fee paid
  • We are not responsible for third-party code or dependencies

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of client source code, security vulnerabilities, business information, and audit methodologies. This obligation survives termination of our engagement.

7. Payment Terms

  • Fees are as specified in engagement letters
  • Payment is due upon completion of deliverables
  • Late payments may incur interest charges
  • Additional work requires mutual agreement

8. Intellectual Property

  • Client retains ownership of their code
  • We retain ownership of our methodologies and tools
  • Reports are provided for client use only
  • No rights to redistribute our intellectual property

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with 30 days written notice, immediate notice for material breach, payment for services rendered up to termination, and return of all confidential information.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation first, mediation if negotiation fails, and arbitration as final recourse.

11. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services for illegal activities, competing security audit services, reverse engineering our methodologies, or sharing confidential audit information.

12. Service Availability

We strive for high service availability but provide no guarantee of uninterrupted service. We may suspend service for maintenance and are exempt from liability for force majeure events.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of our services, your violation of third-party rights, or your misrepresentation of information.

14. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
